OTTE Energy Materials (CEO Kim Yeon-seop) announced on the 14th that it has donated tree planting funds to Iksan City, where its factory is located, as part of its efforts to create a green ecosystem.

On November 11, LOTTE Energy Materials held a donation ceremony at Iksan City Hall with CEO Kim Yeon-seop, General Factory Manager Yoon Sung-han, Management Support Division Head Kim Se-yong, Mayor Jung Heon-ryul of Iksan City and Chairman Kim Soo-sung of Blue Naksak Gakgi Movement Headquarters.' The company purchased major trees and will use them for park forest creation in Naksak.  LOTTE Energy Materials' Iksan Plant has about 500 employees in two locations, Palbong-dong and Samgi-myeon, and serves as a mother plant for the manufacturing and R&D of copper foil for secondary batteries and next-generation battery materials.

Iksan City Mayor Jung Heon-yul said, 'We are sincerely grateful to LOTTE Energy Materials for donating money to plant trees to create a green Iksan.' 'We ask for your continued interest and participation in creating a green garden city.'

Kim Yeon-seop, CEO of LOTTE Energy Materials, said that this is the second corporate social contribution activity since participating in the group's social contribution activity 'Mom Comfortable Playground' creation project in Iksan last year. We will strive to create a green ecosystem in line with LOTTE Chemical Group's 2050 carbon neutrality policy.'

Meanwhile, LOTTE Energy Materials is also promoting activities to strengthen the social safety net, such as providing year-end gift sets to welfare centers in Iksan and supporting portable fire extinguishing equipment in conjunction with LOTTE Chemical Group's donation platform. In addition, we will also conduct flogging activities to protect the yellow bellied frog for the creation of a green ecosystem.
