LOTTE Energy Materials (CEO Kim Yeon-Seop) is working to obtain ‘Copper Mark’ certification, the responsible sourcing program established by the International Copper Association (ICA). Through this certification, the Company aims to enhance its credibility as a battery materials supplier and solidify its business relationships with global customers.
Established in 2019, ‘Copper Mark’ is the only global ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) certification for the copper industry. It is awarded to companies that protect the environment and human rights while ensuring ethical management and local community engagement across the entire supply chain—from ore extraction to product manufacturing and sales.
LOTTE Energy Materials’ Malaysia plant, which has been operating a copper foil production facility since 2019, has gained positive recognition from global customers emphasizing ESG management, particularly due to its use of hydropower, a renewable energy source.
