█ Aims to enhance CSR activities diversity through the introduction of a joint donation platform for LOTTE Chemical Division employees
█ ‘GiveOn’ = ‘Give’ + ‘On (温)’, expected to share employees' donation awareness and spread a culture of sharing
█ Contributing to the expansion of a practical donation culture by diversifying donation content and encouraging voluntary participation through 'donation choice'
█ Heoong-ki Lee, Head of the Chemical Division, expects 'transparency and efficiency in social contribution activities, with a goal of developing an ESG platform in the future'
On the 21st, four companies within LOTTE's Chemical Division (Chemical, Fine Chemical, Aluminum, and Energy Materials) will officially launch 'GiveOn,' the first joint donation platform for employees within LOTTE Group.
'GiveOn' is a new donation platform that integrates the previously individually operated social contribution donation programs of each company within the LOTTE Chemical Division into a joint donation system involving employee participation. Accessible via both PC and mobile, it allows for more convenient participation in donations. The platform offers a one-stop donation process where users can apply for various CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) campaigns, including donation campaigns, support, volunteering, and ESG activities, as well as view donation activity records and accumulated donation data all in one place.
The name 'GiveOn' is a combination of 'Give' and 'On (温),' symbolizing the sharing of the 'warmth' (温) of giving and the act of 'turning on' (On) the spirit of donation. This name reflects the intention to share the warm-heartedness of giving and to spread a culture of sharing.
The naming process for this new donation platform involved employees from the four companies within the Chemical Division, with over 250 submissions reviewed before the final selection. The active participation of employees from the planning stage garnered significant interest. Compared to existing programs, 'GiveOn' introduces 'donation choice,' allowing employees to select their preferred donation content, thereby encouraging voluntary participation and expecting to expand a practical donation culture.
Heoong-ki Lee, Head of the Chemical Division, expressed expectations for 'transparency and efficiency in social contribution activities' and aims to develop the platform into an ESG platform in the future.
Heoong-ki Lee, Head of the LOTTE Chemical Division, stated, 'The introduction of this new donation platform is expected to significantly contribute to enhancing the transparency and efficiency of our social contribution activities.' He further added, 'We plan to develop this platform into an ESG platform through phased expansion, enabling sustainable growth for both the company and society.'
Meanwhile, LOTTE Chemical Division continues to operate existing employee donation programs such as the matching grant system (where the company matches employee donations 1:1 to create a fund), 'regular salary donation,' and 'salary rounding donation (donations of amounts less than 10,000 KRW).' With the launch of the new 'GiveOn' platform, the division aims to provide a wider variety of donation options and practice sustainable sharing values.
